A New Need For Immigration Enforcement

You know, there's a whole other dimension to the whole illegal immigration debate that is being completely ignored. However, I believe there is a solution, and that is to increase our space-based defenses to prevent illegal aliens from coming here and committing all sorts of crimes and living off of the largesse of our government.

Back about 25 years ago, our nation was invaded by a Kryptonian vessel carrying a child, known as Kal-El. It was aided and abetted by Johnathan and Martha Kent, of Smallville, Kansas, who hid it and "adopted" it as their "son". They may not have realized that while this alien may have looked like a child, it could be the vanguard of many thousands or even millions of other Kryptonians invaders. The Kents helped Kal-El to commit identification fraud, establishing it as a U.S. citizen named "Clark Kent". Under this false identity, it received a free education in the Smallville public school system. Upon entering adulthood, the alien started exhibiting its super-human powers by flying after and chasing down alleged criminals and turning them over to the police. It may even be insane, as it flies around in blue tights and a red cape, or perhaps simply schizophrenic, dividing its time between its Kent and "Superman" identities.

Authorities have not been able to catch Kal-El itself and turn it over to federal prosecution for its crimes. However, this alien seems harmless for the most part, and does help rescue people, fix things, and capture other criminals. But what if there are more on the way? It claims that its homeworld of Krypton was destroyed, but that just means that other refugees may be soon to arrive in the United States. There is no way of knowing how these other Kryptonians would use their powers.

The government must act now! The Departments of Homeland Security and Defense need to work together to build an orbital wall around the planet. This system should consist of deep space radar satellites to act as an early warning system to detect incoming Kryptonian vessels. Once a Kryptonian is identified, a constellation of kryptonite laser satellites would be used to blast the vessel out of the sky, preventing further illegal immigration and protecting the planet from a possible menace. DoD contractor LuthorCorp already has prototypes of the needed systems, and is ready to start production as soon as the contracts are awarded to them.
